OMEGA League

Since the immemorial, the Olympic Games served as the ultimate place where the spirits were forged, where the best athletes of the planet competed in strength, speed, agility and fortitude. The greatest champions became the characters of mythos and epos, their fame immortalized alongside the divine deities. We present you the modern analogue of those ancient traditions of the festival — OMEGA League! OMEGA League is an online Dota 2 league with sixty four teams from three regions: Europe, Americas and Asia. Cyber-athletes will begin their journey in this marathon with the start of the qualifiers on July 20, 2020, then will move on into the group stages on August 1, and cross the finish line with the finals held on September 6. The total prize pool of the competition is $ 650,000. Europe, the forefather of Olympic traditions, is divided into two leagues — Immortal and Divine, twelve teams each. Ten elite teams are invited to the top division, and the last two participants will ascend to immortality after the open and closed qualifying stages, which will start on July 20. That’s also when we will know the names of all the participants of the Divine division. Immortal league teams will divide $500,000 among themselves, and the Divine will fight for $50,000. Although there is only the Divine division in Asia, the battles there will be no less heated: twelve teams, eight of which are already known to us, will battle it out to take home the gold medal and $14,000 out of the $40,000 prize pool. The last four participants will have to earn their place through the online qualifiers that start on July 20. In the Americas, much like Europe, there are also two divisions: Divine and Ancient, with ten and eight teams respectively. Titans of the region were invited to showcase their strength in the top league. The remaining participants, as well as members of the Ancient league, will be known after the conclusion of the open qualifiers, which start on August 6.
