CS:GO Esports: WePlay Academy League Season 3
Christmas and New Year's holidays have ended, but presents are still coming. The bright event, which every CS:GO player is eager to watch, will happen from January 3rd to February 23rd, 2022. CS:GO Santa prepared new participants and format for this tournament with the same big $100 000 prize. Ten instead of eight academy rosters from famous esports organizations will be divided into two round-robin groups. A winner in each group will proceed from the Group stage to the Playoffs, fighting for the opportunity to get to the LAN Finals at WePlay Arena in Kyiv, Ukraine. After that, teams from 2nd-5th places will go to the Gauntlet Stage for the best-of-three matches. You can watch all the games on our Twitch channel. Format Group Stage Round-robin with two groups of five teams each. Group winner advances to the Playoffs. 2-5 placers proceed to the Gauntlet Stage. Best-of-1. Gauntlet Stage The first round is played by the teams that finished the previous stage in 4th and 5th places. First round winners play with 3rd place. The winners of the second round play with 2nd place. The winners of the third round advance to the Playoffs. Best-of-3. Schedule Group Stage: 3-13 January 2022 (online). Gauntlet Stage: 14-16 January 2022 (online). Playoffs: February 11-13 2022 (offline event with online stream). Participants Ten academy teams from famous old organizations worldwide will come to perform at WePlay Academy League Season 3. Group A consists of NAVI Junior (Ukraine), Young Ninjas (Sweden), Fnatic Rising (United Kingdom), BIG. OMEN Academy (Germany), and Astralis Talent (Denmark). Group B consists of an already familiar VP.Prodigy (Russia), mouz NXT (Germany), FURIA Academy (Brazil), and two new participants — Team Spirit Academy (Russia) and Eternal Fire Academy (Turkey). We're sure that this season will bring more CS:GO stars to shine at the pro-scene, as it was the previous two seasons.
