Each year, the Production Summit selects a new location to gather global innovators of the production and broadcasting industry. This time, WePlay Studios stands at the heart of the annual conference as the official host. The conversation shaping the future of production moves to the WePlay Studios venue in Los Angeles County.
The Production Summit is an annual conference that brings together the brightest minds across film, television, tech, and immersive media. The summit encompasses a broad range of topics, with a particular focus on AI and emerging technologies that will shape the industry over the next five years. Its core mission is to foster an environment of open idea exchange and direct learning from industry trailblazers and leaders.
In 2026, the Production Summit will take place at WePlay Studios, as the company has become the official partner of the project. WePlay Studios will provide its venues, technical infrastructure, and dedicated production teams that bring the summit to life. Earlier, the company had experience working on large-scale production events—in 2025, the company hosted the POSTNAB Production Open House, a three-day event for current industry leaders and practitioners driving film, television, media production, and broadcasting.
“As the techmeout community continues to bridge the gap between innovation and execution, we are incredibly excited to feature WePlay Studios as a featured venue for this season,” says Jess Loren, CEO of Global Objects and founder of techmeout. “Our mission has always been about showing, not just telling—and by bringing the production community into this world-class facility in Los Angeles, we’re giving them a front-row seat to the future of immersive broadcasting. WePlay represents the exact kind of high-octane, tech-forward environment where the next generation of content is being built.”
This year, the Production Summit will take place on January 27 and will focus on trends, technologies, and creative disciplines transforming the media landscape:
- Virtual Production & Real-Time Pipelines
- AI & Automation in Media
- Design & Innovation for Immersive Storytelling
- Broadcast, Live, and Hybrid Experiences
- Sustainable Production Practices
- Studio Case Studies & Creative Collaborations
“Production Summit has become a place where creative ideas meet real-world production practice, bringing broadcast, cinema, and real-time technologies into one open conversation. At WePlay Studios, we see this event as a practical forum where engineers, artists, and decision-makers share hands-on experience across virtual production, AI-driven, and hybrid workflows—not to impress, but to genuinely inspire progress. Hosting Season 4 of Production Summit allows us to focus on collaboration and shared learning and to treat virtual production as a common language that helps the industry move forward together,” said Aleksii Gutiantov, head of virtual production at WePlay Studios.
