Третий сезон WePlay Academy League стартует 3 января

WePlay Academy League Second Season ended in mid-November. During 2021, we held two tournaments with a total prize pool of $200,000 and opened the world to m0NESY, phzy, Aqua, as well as other equally talented CS:GO players. We just don't want to stop there and close the League, so here you are, more, better, cooler!

Meet WePlay Academy League Season 3! New event, new format, new rules, even new participants, and all this splendor will take place during the New Year holidays! Let's take a closer look at the changes.

Format

Group Stage

• Round-robin with two groups five teams each

• Group winner advances to the Playoffs

• 2-5 placers proceed to the Gauntlet Stage

• Best-of-1

Gauntlet Stage

• The first round is played by the teams that finished the previous stage in 4th and 5th places

• First round winners play with 3rd place

• The winners of the second round play with 2nd place

• The winners of the third round advance to the Playoffs

• Best-of-3

Tournament Schedule

• Group Stage: 3-13 January 2022

• Gauntlet Stage:  14-16 January 2022

• Playoffs: February 11-13 2022

As before, the first two stages will be held online, while the Playoffs are going to take place in the WePlay Esports Arena Kyiv. This season, we have expanded the list of participants, so the Turkish Eternal Fire Academy and the long-awaited Spirit Academy are joining the already familiar tags. According to the rules, at least four people from each team must be between the ages of 16 and 21, the fifth participant can be of a different age category.
