Wargaming хочет создать f2p шутер нового поколения

According to an official press-release, Wargaming and Frag Lab join forces to create a next-generation MMO shooter that will use Amazon services as well as its engine.

Wargaming is known to the gaming community as the developer and publisher of World of Tanks. Both WoT (2010) and the lighter game developed for mobile devices WoT Blitz (2014) are massively popular and cater to players of different ages.

The Frag Lab studio worked on such titles as Crysis, Battlefield and a free-to-play online shooter Warface.

Google and Microsoft are making significant investments into gaming and Amazon wants to jump into this lucrative market as well. The “new generation” game could be an Amazon test project to facilitate streaming to all types of devices regardless of the hardware specs.

Here is what Brian Taptich, Vice President, Amazon Game Tech said about the project:

Amazon is obsessed with helping game developers be successful at every stage of development, and we’re excited to work with Wargaming and Frag Lab as they build, scale, and operate this new project globally.

The release date of the new game hasn’t been revealed yet, and the game most likely won’t launch earlier than 2020.
