Saahil "Universe" Arora has announced his retirement from professional Dota 2 via a Twitlonger on his personal Twitter.

Universe is a house name for North American Dota, often being regarded as one of the best offlaners from the region. He has competed in Dota 2 since 2011, where he played for Online Kingdom. More recently, The 30-year-old American played for Ninjas in Pyjamas from September 2019 until the organization acquired five new players, formerly known as Chicken Fighters, in early April. After some deliberation during his free agency, it seems Universe has decided to hang up the mouse as a competitor.

In Universe's Twitlonger, he details his decision to step away from the game and his gratefulness to the fans that have followed him up to this point:

Saahil "Universe" Arora

I have decided to retire as a player from competitive dota 2. Whenever I do anything in life I tend to be an all or nothing type of person and dota was no different. For the past 10 years I have given everything I have to this game/competition and it was an incredible experience. Now the time has come to pursue other interests and figure out what comes next. Thank you to my fans and past teammates for the amazing memories I will never forget.
