If you thought that the idea of making a video game in a Chernobyl setting would’ve been outdated by now, we are here to say that you were wrong. Otherwise, how would you explain that there’s yet another survival game, which is actually called CHERNOBYLITE?
Obviously fictional, CHERNOBYLITE is a zombie survival horror set in the Chernobyl area. The game is being developed by a well-known Polish studio The Farm 51, which is currently also working on a more tactical approach to the classic Battlefield’s all-warfare gameplay formula in the form of the game World War 3. While you might think that having two ambitious projects in production is a bit too much, we recommend you take a look at the pre-alpha footage of CHERNOBYLITE. The video, which you can find below, proves that the team has already done a ton of work to bring their vision about the supernatural activity in the mysterious Chernobyl zone to life. Still, there’s a lot more work to do, and to secure and back up the project, the devs have started a crowdfunding campaign via Kickstarter. In the search for $100,000, The Farm 51 has already attracted a total of $110,206 – and there’re 19 more days to go.
You can find the additional details via the game’s official website. Moreover, CHERNOBYLITE already has an arranged page on Steam if you fancy Valve’s digital service more as a credible source of gamer-oriented information. The game is targeting the Autumn release this year.
