Tencent закрыла PUBG Mobile в Китае

According to Reuters, the Chinese media corporation Tencent has stopped testing and supporting PUBG Mobile. So, there will be no official release of the game in China. Chinese authorities spend a year discussing and did not come to a common decision and could not (or did not want to) give the license permission, that could have made it possible to monetize the game. The unprofitable product turned out to be useless. 

However, at the same time, Tencent issued a license to another game called Game for Peace, which also belongs to the Battle Royale genre. It looks ridiculous: the publisher not only began to promote the new product instead of the publishable PUBG, but also inserted its advertisement into the current client of the well-known Battle Royale. Now, when users start the game, they see an advertisement for the alternative and are also invited to open beta. 

According to some sources, PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS in China was deemed too cruel, but the new Battle Royale Game for Peace passed all instances for obtaining a license without any problems. In addition, it is dedicated to the fight against terrorism.

PUBG continues to be "choked" from all directions. The game not only loses players by itself due to the abundance of bugs and the lack of new content but now it is also prohibited in some countries.
