T1 was one of the first esports organizations to sign a player to its VALORANT roster, but with the team half complete, they aren't done with the announcements just yet. Former CS:GO player Austin "crashies" Roberts joins their ranks, bringing T1's VALORANT roster up to three members.
Since the VALORANT beta began on April 7, crashies has competed in three tournaments. First was the 100 Thieves Invitational, the second was T1 Invitational, and the third was Code Green Invitational. At each tournament, he played for a different team; Team Courage, Team Dizzy, and Team Jake'n'Bake, respectively. Shahzeeb "ShahZaM" Khan was the only teammate he played alongside in more than one of these events.
We're adding our third member to the squad.

In his first tournament, crashies finished 5th-6th with Team Courage, but with Team Dizzy, he came 2nd in T1 Invitational, while Team Jake'n'Bake came 3rd-4th in the last event. crashies performance at these tournaments showed not only a high skill-level but also his growth, which is most likely why T1 pursued the deal.
crashies' professional CS:GO career began in 2017, which had him play for several teams. The most recent was Bad News Bears, which he left on April 15 to pursue a career playing VALORANT. His accolades include a 1st-place finish at ESEA Season 32: Global Challenge under the Riot Squad Esports banner, and he also participated at the recently concluded Flashpoint Season 1.

The T1 squad presently consists of former CS:GO players, which is becoming the trend as Cloud9's Tyson "TenZ" Ngo has also officially switched games and others like Jaryd "summit1g" Lazar are becoming regular names at events. G2 Esports is among the growing number of organizations taking an interest in the upcoming tactical shooter.
