South Korean esports organization T1 officially revealed its Dota 2 roster in early March. Only about two weeks in, the team has now parted ways with Dominik “Black^” Reitmeier and Yixuan “xuan” Guo.

Although no official statement has been made, the Dota 2 registration site indicates that both players have left the roster. This development is likely in reaction to their most recent match. T1 had a rough time at the ONE Esports Dota 2 Invitational in Jakarta, where they lost to Team Oracle twice. In a tweet announcing their loss, a few fans went as far as to blame Black^ for their defeat.

We couldn't show our best and failed to make through the Qualifiers. Thank you fans for supporting us, we'll try our best to come back next tournament.#T1WIN #T1Fighting pic.twitter.com/X9gynoOKLW
T1 is once more in the market for new players, but considering how late into the season we are, finding suitable replacements might be difficult. There’s also the looming threat of more cancelations in the Dota Pro Circuit 2019/2020 due to the health concerns posed by the coronavirus. It’s not been a great time for a team in its first year.
Here is T1’s current Dota 2 roster:
-
Muhammad “inYourdreaM” Rizky
-
Lee “Forev” Sang-don
-
Tri “Jhocam” Kuncoro
-
Choi “cCarter” Byoung-hoon (Head Coach)
Black^ is a seasoned player that has competed since 2011 in teams from across the world. On the other hand, xuan began his competitive career in 2014 playing for teams in North America. Both are now free agents, but for how long?
