Immortal Severance ending in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is the most common ending that players get most often. No need to obey, no need to overhear anyone. That's not the wolf's thing.

The last and most unobvious ending, which gives hope for the next part of One Armed Wolf's story.
The beginning of the path is determined by all in the same conversation with Great Owl Shinobi. Refuse to obey him, fight and kill. Now, the usual progress in the story, but with some nuances.
Before the battle with the Corrupted Monk (it takes place on the bridge after the door is opened), you need to complete several tasks. Otherwise, you'll have the Immortal Severance ending in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.
The main task is to receive Fresh Seprentive Fruit and Dried Seprentive Fruit.
Fresh can be obtained by killing the Great Serpent.
Sunken Valley, Bodishattva Valley Idol. Enter the cave and reach the rock bridge where the Great Serpent is protecting the path. Drop down to the left, and puppeteer the monkey with Ninjutsu. It will run up and distract the serpent. Grapple onto the bridge and run deeper inside to find the fruit.
Now to the Temple Yard idol. Find the item at the bottom of the lake and give it to the Divine Child (Sanctuary). The girl should disappear (if not, treat Kuro with rice and rest at the idol a couple of times). Next, you can find the child in the location where you fought with the Folding Screen Monkeys. Talk to her: the girl will send you to a monk near the temple. After talking with him, return to the Divine Child and give her the item from the monk, as well as Fresh Seprentive Fruit and Dried Seprentive Fruit.
