Astralis сразится с Heroic за выход в финал нижней сетки Flashpoint 3
Today is gonna be another busy day of Flashpoint Season 3, with another four Bo3s set to take place this evening. However, before we go over those four matches, let's talk about yesterday's four matches, the first of which being lower bracket round 3 match between Team Vitality and Heroic, with both squads fighting to avoid elimination. The first map of Nuke started off fairly even, ending 8-7 in favor of the Danish squad, but the Frenchmen were unable to get the ball rolling in the second half as Casper "cadiaN" Møller and cosecured their pick. Things didn't get much better for the French squad on their pick of Overpass, as Heroic convingly won the first half 10-5 and closed out the map 16-9, partially thanks to an impressive performance by René "TeSeS" Madsen. Vitality as a whole looked pretty outclassed throughout both maps, but it's worth mentioning that even Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut struggled to put up numbers.
While Vitality and Heroic were playing for their lives, FunPlus Phoenix and Complexity Gaming played a 9-12th place decider match, as both teams have already been knocked out of the event. Sadly for Complexity fans, the series was a complete blowout, as FPX absolutely steamrolled them on both maps. COL only managed to scramble up six rounds on Inferno, and things didn't get any better going into their pick of Vertigo, as they lost that map 4-16 and the series 0-2. Martin "STYKO" Styk has continued to look solid for FPX, but everyone performed quite well on the European squad. With that, COL has been knocked down to the 12th place decider match, as FPX advances to the 9th place decider.
Later that evening, BIG took on Double Poney in the other lower bracket round 3 match. DBL Poney put up a decent fight on their opponent's pick of Vertigo, but struggled to close out rounds on their attacking side, letting BIG secure the map 16-9. However, things looked much better for the Frenchmen on Nuke, and BIG seemingly struggled to find an answer to DBL Poney's defense. Thanks to some big rounds from Nathan "NBK-" Schmitt, the French squad was able to secure their pick 16-8 and bring it to the decider of Dust II. BIG absolutely ran away with the first half, and while the French side began mounting a comeback on their attacking side, the German squad closed out the map 16-12, knocking DBL Poney out of the event.
The final match of Tuesday was Sprout and Anonymo Esports in the other 9-12th place decider series. It was an incredibly close match, going to three maps, including overtime on the last two. Sprout was able to just barely secure their pick of Inferno 16-13 thanks to amazing performances from Marko "kressy" Đorđević and Josef "faveN" Baumann on the T and CT sides, respectively. While everything was seemingly going to plan for the Germans on Nuke, winning the first half 10-5, the Poles mirrored the scoreline and secured overtime, and then even going into double overtime. After losing Nuke 19-22 to Anonymo, it looked like the same thing was going to happen on the decider of Vertigo, as Sprout won their CT side 10-5. only for the Poles to match in and bring it to overtime. However, this time around, the Germans managed to close it out 19-16 in overtime and move on to the 9th place decider, where they will face FPX. As for Anonymo Esports, they will play against COL in the 12th place decider match.

Much like yesterday, there will be four Bo3s today, with two happening simultaneously at 19:00 (MSK) and two at 22:00 (MSK). The first match will be a Danish derby between Astralis and Heroic, as both teams fight to stay in the event. Heroic should have the edge going into this series, but domestic matches are always a little crazy, and Astralis has shown that they can still play at a very high level this event.
At the same time as the Astralis vs. Heroic match, Complexity will face off versus Anonymo in the 12th place decider. The loser of the series will get 500 RMR points, while the winner will go on to the 10th place decider. COL certainly struggled versus FPX yesterday, and Anonymo has played quite well during this event, but we all know just how strong Complexity can be, especially when considering all the firepower on that lineup. It'll be interesting to see what version of COL we get in this series, that's for certain!
Later on, Ninjas in Pyjamas will take on BIG. It's quite hard to tell who the favorite is going into this matchup, as both teams have had their ups and downs throughout Flashpoint 3. NiP have shown that they can play at a very high level, and considering G2's form so far, getting knocked down to the lower bracket by them isn't too groundbreaking. It's likely to be a very competitive series, and it wouldn't be too surprising to see it go to a third map, maybe even with some overtimes sprinkled across the various maps.
The other match set to take place at 22:00 (MSK) will be between FPX and Sprout in the 9th place decider. Considering how dominantly FPX just beat COL and the level they've displayed this event, they're probably the favorites going into this series, although Sprout have also shown some good form. This should also be quite a close and competitive match, but only time will tell!
