Heroic и FaZe выйдут на арену в третий день Flashpoint 3

Day 3 of Flashpoint Season 3 is upon us! Unlike Day 1, Day 2's matches went a bit more as expected. In the BIG vs. Complexity Gaming match, Nuke ended up being quite the close affair, with BIG initially being in the driver seat, winning the first half 10-5. However, COL managed to mount a bit of a comeback on their CT side thanks to Valentin "poizon" Vasilev finding a lot of impact on the AWP. Still, BIG managed to close it out 16-14 before going on to play their pick of Dust II. While the first half was quite close, ending 8-7 in BIG's favor, Complexity was unable to get the ball rolling on their T half as İsmailсan "XANTARES" Dörtkardeş shut them down everywhere they went. The match ended 2-0 in favor of BIG, with no one on Complexity posting above a 1.00 rating.

In the Fnatic vs. mousesports game, the Swedes quite frankly looked completely lost, especially on their CT sides. Christopher "dexter" Nong had a great performance, managing to keep up with his teammates Robin "ropz" Kool and Frederik "acoR" Gyldstrand in terms of frags. While Fnatic was able to pick up 8 rounds on their pick of Inferno, they could only muster up a measily 4 rounds on Overpass. Only Jack "Jackinho" Ström Mattsson managed to get a positive rating in the series, and it's starting to feel like the clock is ticking for this Fnatic squad, as direction is seemingly lacking in the server.

Flashpoint 3 Day 2 results

The first match of the evening will be Heroic vs. Sprout at 19:00 (MSK). The favorites to win the series are undeniably the Danes of Heroic, currently ranked #3 in the world following a victory at the ESL Pro League Season 13 Finals and two back-to-back semifinal finishes at BLAST Premier Spring Showdown and DreamHack Masters Spring. The German Sprout squad, on the other hand, has been drifting around the bottom of the top 30 ranking since the additions of Marko "kressy" Đorđević and Fritz "slaxz-" Dietrich. While both were star players on ALTERNATE aTTaX, kressy has had a noticeable drop in performance since joining Sprout. Luckily, slaxz- and Josef "faveN" Baumann have been able to put up great performances in recent times, but will that be enough when facing a team of Heroic's caliber? Everyone on Heroic is capable of putting up numbers, so a team effort will absolutely be essential for Sprout if they want to make the series competitive.

At 22:00 (MSK), G2 Esports and FaZe Clan will be facing off in the second series of Day 3. It's been over 6 months since Nikola "NiKo" Kovač left FaZe to reunite with his cousin Nemanja "huNter-" Kovač on G2, and the international team has had varrying results thus far. Looking at G2 play, it still feels like the team is figuring things out as they make weird mistakes you wouldn't expect from a squad of their caliber, but they somehow manage to get it over the line and have slowly been climbing the ranks. FaZe also looks like it's having a bit of an identity crisis. The pieces all seem to be on the board, but inconsistent performances from Håvard "rain" Nygaard and Marcelo "coldzera" David have held the team back a bit. Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken is finally playing to the level we know he can, but there isn't a stable second star playing alongside him so far Obviously, it's no secret that Finn "karrigan" Andersen's projects usually take a little while to fully take off, so FaZe fans shouldn't be too worried and put a little more faith in the Danish captain; trust the process. At the end of the day, G2 should be the favorites to win this matchup, but if huNter- has a quiet day or G2 fumbles with the AWP again, FaZe may have a way into the match, especially if someone can step up to the plate and perform alongside Twistzz.
