Утечки: В разработке находится Red Faction: Evolution от THQ

The Nvidia Ansel app might’ve just leaked the existence of Red Faction: Evolution – and judging by the plans of THQ Nordic to announce two new entries in the beloved franchises at E3 2019, the leak could’ve spoiled the possible big surprise.

According to the post on Metacouncil forums, the list of games supported by Nvidia Ansel unexpectedly includes the aforementioned title Red Faction: Evolution – it hasn’t been referenced anywhere else before, and the obvious conclusion is that it’s an unannounced game by THQ Nordic, the current holder of the rights to the Red Faction franchise. While the gaming community was rather pleased with how well the company managed to capture and reanimate the cult classics in the Re-Mars-Tered edition of Red Faction: Guerrilla, we are yet to see if the rumour in regards to the newest entry is true – and whether the game lives up to expectations. We’ve recently shared our concerns in regards to the overall situation of THQ Nordic insatiably buying the rights to iconic franchises left and right, but the case of Red Faction might actually turn out to be beneficial for the series.

Luckily, the recent Re-Mars-Tered edition was executed by Volition, the original developers of Red Faction: Guerrilla. This gives us hope that the newest game will also be developed by the studio, which means that the atmosphere and the style will be kept authentic.

Obviously, there’s still a concern that THQ Nordic is simply abusing the development resources to build what the company wants in a short time. Hopefully, we are wrong about that.
