Mojang has recently shown an inspiring example of good intentions in the gaming industry – the company has donated $10,000 for charity. More specifically, for the company Charity: Water. But wait, there’s more. The creators of Minecraft decided to encourage their own gaming audience to participate in donating.
You can do your part by simply downloading a free pack on content, i.e. you don’t actually have to spare your own money for charity (although it’d be great, to be honest.) The pack in question, titled The Travelling Trader, contains a new adventure map from Jigarbov, a well-known Minecraft map creator and modder. The pack also includes a few skins. The trick here is that if the gaming community manages to download the pack 90 thousand times, Mojang will increase its donation from $10,000 to $100,000. As the representatives of Charity: Water note, such an amount of money will help more than 3,300 people in need. To make the world a slightly better place, all you need to do is to download a free map pack. Well, needed, as the amount of downloads in questions has been reached in less than a day.
You can still download The Travelling Trader though. The map is supported by Minecraft editions for Windows 10, Xbox One, and mobile devices. The adventure offers a plentiful of villages for a travelling trader to explore, and you’ll obviously embark on a journey to save the day.
