Gearbox Software have published new Borderlands 3 trailer, showing the fourth and probably, the last Vault Hunter to appear in the original game. FL4K The Beast Master is an AI in a quest for self-discovery, travelling everywhere accompanied by the tamed inhabitants of the local fauna. On his endless hunt, FL4K prefers to eliminate his enemies from afar with loyal Skag, Spiderant, or Jabber alongside and is capable to go invisible for a short time to avoid unwanted harm in case of disclosing the vantage point, while the beasts rip his enemies to shreds.
Players will have three talent trees to choose from, allowing to summon one of three different beasts with unique skills. The gameplay is going to differ based on which pet and talent tree you are going to build into.
Unique skill: Rakk Attack!
Hunter's skill tree active skill will have multiple charges, with Rakks charging down from the sky each time. A loyal Centurion Spiderant is going to assist FL4K with a variety of unique attacks, like spinning charge or spitting acidic goo. Skills in the tree are based on critical attacks and sniping, with many talents augmenting Vault Hunter's pet and his active skill.
Unique skill: Gamma Burst
Players building with the Master tree can expect tank-ish gameplay — hero's active skill, Gamma Burst, teleports the pet right into the middle of the battlefield with radioactive explosion affecting the poor enemies. Skills mostly focus on the Skag pet, empowering his attacks or giving him a health regen aura, as well as hero's survivability.
Unique skill: Fade Away
This skill tree is all about positioning and movement — the pet's presence grants additional movement speed, while active skill allows the hero easily evade tense situations, appearing behind enemies' backs. Jabber will you assist in battle with its handgun, growing stronger and gaining new perks as you progress down the talent tree.
FL4K is the fourth Vault Hunter, previous three have been already teased by Gearbox — you can get acquainted with Amalia, Zane and Moze in our previews.
You can get familiar with the FL4K's appearance and equipment deeper in the official guide for cosplayers, which is available here.
Borderlands 3 will be available September 13, 2019, for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC (temporary exclusive of the Epic Games Store), and will also be included in the Google Stadia library when launched.
