Tetsuya Nomura, Final Fantasy VII Remake director, shares new information about the game in this week’s issue of Famitsu magazine. They happen to answer some popular questions that have been floating around. Here are the highlights,
The black mist swirling around Cloud and Aerith in the E3 trailer are mysterious beings called “the keepers of Fate.” They are just one example of the new content included in the game for new and old players to enjoy.
The game is on two Blu-ray discs because of all the new content that has been added to the main story.
The cross-dressing scene in the Honey Bee Inn hasn’t been removed but it has been adjusted since the original could be considered offensive.
Dialogue options will affect the flow of conversations for players
Each playable character will have different enemy affinities
So players can take the time to stare at all the awesome visuals, stress-free shortcuts in combat have been added
MP items (ether?) will be required to refill the magic gauge
New enemies will be introduced for the sake of level design.
Aerith and Tifa are both heroines, with one adopting a western-style look and the other, an Asian-style one.
Tifa was given an athletic build, with Nomura adding, “The ethics department of the company also said we needed to tighten up her chest area so that it wouldn’t look unnatural during intense action. So that’s when we decided to go with the black underwear and tank top.”
Its good to know that Square Enix is not only relying on nostalgia with regard to those that played the original game. Whether they like it as much as the new fans this project has ushered in remains to be seen. Come March 3 2020, we will have our answer.
