Toyota’s luxury car brand Lexus will sponsor the Esports Awards 2019, which takes place this weekend at the Esports Stadium Arlington.
The deal will have Lexus bring three supercars to the event, two of which were featured in the movies, Black Panther and Men in Black International. The main attraction is the 2019 Lexus GS F 10th Anniversary Edition and Lexus will also shoot a number of content pieces with some as yet unnamed esports celebrities.
Esports Stadium Arlington director of partnerships, Johnathon Angers said in a release:
“At Esports Stadium Arlington, we pride ourselves in creating industry-defining experiences for global and regional fans of esports and gaming. We are excited to be welcoming the Esports Awards to the stadium over the next three years and to be hosting global brands such as Lexus at our state-of-the-art facility. We are eager to work with the Lexus team in this new venture to support their growing presence in the esports industry.”
2019 Lexus GS F 10th Anniversary Edition
The deal represents Lexus’ first entry into esports and the Esports Awards 2019 will have all fans and stakeholders admiring the three cars over the weekend. Making the perfect esports debut for the Toyota owned brand.
Lexus marketing vice president, Lisa Materazzo also commented on the deal:
“At Lexus, we are excited to make an entrance into esports with an event that shares the same attention to creating unique personal experiences. The LC 500 luxury performance coupe featured in the Black Panther movie, Men in Black International inspired Lexus RC F coupe, and GS F 10th Anniversary will provide the perfect backdrop for the black-tie celebration.”
The Esports Awards 2019 has several other partners including Esports Stadium Arlington, eBeatz, Secretlab, Red Bull, Maika’i Copenhagen, Scuf Gaming, Movember, The Koyo Store, and Blinkfire Analytics. Together they make this year’s offering bigger and better than the last.
