Chaos EC has announced the release of their Dota 2 roster. This decision comes as a result of the 2019-2020 Dota Pro Circuit being suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic. Chaos EC was a very new roster with four of the five members only being a part of the organization since November 2019, with the newest being Malthe "Biver" Winther, who joined in early February 2020.

Chaos EC released this statement regarding the decision to release the team:

Regrettably we must make significant changes to our business in the aftermath of the pandemic that is currently affecting the world. Due to the suspension of the 2019-2020 Dota Pro Circuit, we will be releasing our Dota 2 roster in its entirety.

Greg Laird, CEO of Chaos EC, also provided his insight into the decision:

This is not a decision we made lightly, but during these uncertain times and with the DPC circuit suspended it is impossible for us to justify the cost of a Dota 2 team at this time. The world is an unprecedented situation and it is necessary for us to focus our efforts into a few key current & upcoming projects for the long term success of the organization.
