Alex "ALEX" McMeekin has expressed his intentions of leaving the Vitality CS:GO roster, according to a report from 1p v.fr.
The report from 1pv.fr states the reason for ALEX's departure from Vitality is due to the promise of an intense travel schedule and personal reasons.
Vitality hasn't had the best of performances in the 2020 season. They failed to reach the BLAST Premier Spring Series Final and had a 9-12th place finish at IEM Katowice 2020. ALEX has been a part of Vitality since January 2019 and served as the in-game leader of the squad.
It is rumored that the favored replacement for Vitality is LDLC OL's Ali "hAdji" Haïnouss. hAdji previously played for Windigo before his departure in October 2019. He joined LDLC OL in January 2020.
The current rumored Vitality roster is looking like:
- Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut
- Cédric "RpK" Guipouy
- Dan "apEX" Madesclaire
- Richard "shox" Papillon
- Ali "hAdji" Haïnouss
Vitality will be looking to make changes quickly due to the start of ESL Pro League Season 11 being only a little over a week away, March 11. Losing the in-game leader for Vitality is sure to impact the roster for some time, but hopefully, they can figure something out to have a deep run at the ESL Pro League.
