A speedrunner named CarcinogenSDA managed to clear Resident Evil 2 Remake on Leon (Hardcore mode) in just three hours and twenty minutes. He published two separate videos that you can watch, with and without commentaries.

Here CarcinogenSDA explains his decisions and even mentions some ways he could have made it faster. You can go to his channel and find the video free of the player's comments. CarcinogenSDA mentions that he received a prerelease copy sent to him by Capcom, that's how he managed to finish the perfect speedrun so fast.

The usual run of Resident Evil 2 Remake in Standard mode takes about 10 hours, so CarcinogenSDA’s record is very awe-inspiring.

Resident Evil 2 Remake was released on January 25 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. It's a survival horror following the stories of Racoon City police officer Leon S. Kennedy and a student named Claire Redfield. The game originally launched for PlayStation back in 1998.
