The limited beta test for Call of Duty: Mobile has already started on Android devices in select countries, and the current build of the game is proving to be a rich source of unannounced information regarding the game. The first leak confirms the inevitable addition of a Battle Royale mode and a Zombies mode.
The video leak, courtesy of Twitter user ChaosxSilencer, shows the existing menu of the game where you can see the aforementioned modes. It is worth noting that the Battle Royale portion of the game was actually teased a few days ago with the trailer specifically dedicated to the start of the beta. In other words, it shouldn’t be surprising at all. Right now, these modes are still unavailable in Call of Duty: Mobile, and this actually goes in line with the developers’ promise from the aforementioned trailer. The Battle Royale mode was teased with words “More to come”, which means that it’ll be added in future updates. Another part of the leak touches upon the yet to be officially revealed Battle Pass. It is believed, judging by the video leak, that the Pass will offer both free and premium rewards, which resembles the way it works in Fortnite or Apex Legends.
Following the leak, Activision shared tons of official details regarding the game. There’s a lot to learn, and you can find all the specific information via this link. Upon the launch, Call of Duty: Mobile will feature a total of five well-known multiplayer maps from across the franchise. The officially confirmed modes are Team Deathmatch, Free-For-All, Hardpoint, Domination, and Frontline. The game will also be treated with a set of two different controls variants, which are called Advanced Mode and Simple Mode. While the former allows players to customize touch controls, the latter offers a very simplistic approach towards performing actions in the game. For instance, your weapons will automatically shoot when the crosshair meets the enemy on screen.
The official launch of Call of Duty: Mobile is expected this summer. The game will release on both iOS and Android, unlike the currently undergoing beta.
