Xbox is teasing a Game of Thrones related announcement

With the 8^th season of Game of Thrones series in full swing, all the news regarding the popular fantasy universe seems to excite the audience. This time an intriguing tease comes straight from the official Xbox Twitter account, which suggests that we are about to witness a Game of Thrones related announcement of sorts.

For now, there’s no clue what the announcement might actually be. Since we are talking about Xbox, there’re reasonable thoughts that a possible reveal of a proper Game of Thrones video game is coming. George Martin’s universe hasn’t been treated with an AAA-release in the gaming industry; we did have an adventure game from Telltale and a handful of silly mobile time killers, but there’s hasn’t been a game yet to feature the scale of a proper open-world role-playing title – and we are all hoping that one day something like that will eventually come. Perhaps, it’s closer than we think if Xbox is indeed hinting at an announcement of a video game. As of now, we can only speculate while hoping for the best – and the users on Twitter are doing exactly that. Perhaps, E3 2019 will shed light on the situation.

This might also probably mean that Microsoft is preparing a Game of Thrones design variation for Xbox One consoles. By the way, the video teaser in question doesn’t reveal anything specific, but there’s a clear Game of Thrones reference with a glimpse of the Targaryen emblem appearing in the fire.
