Witcher 3 brought the series to a whole new level.

Witcher 3 brought the series to a whole new level. The series has put CD Projekt Red on the map and flourished in 2015 as one of the best action-adventure titles of all time. That said, everyone certainly wants to know if CD Project Red will continue on with the series. The answer is yes, but not anytime soon.

Recently, CD Project Red CEO Adam Kicinski went on Polish TV station TVN24 BiS to talk about the award winning franchise. in the interview, translated by Gamepressure, Kicinski said that he appreciates the fans and believes that a sequel must happen, but also expressed that he wants to give the series and his team time to breathe.

When asked about the future of the Witcher franchise, Kicinski offered the following statement:

"It's too early to talk about it, but it's not like we're forgetting about this brand. It wouldn't be fair towards the fans. We work within this universe for over a dozen years now and I don't think it's going to be the end of it."

We may not get to see Witcher 4 in the forseeable future, but at least CD Projekt Red isn't just basking in its own glory. We have the coming Cyberpunk 2077 project to look forward to.
