Wings Gaming have won their first post-TI LAN with their 2-1 victory over
Newbee in the Grand Finals of the Nanyang Cruise Cup.

The tournament itself had a very condensed format, taking place over a weekend onboard a cruise ship, the Sapphire Princess. Wings and Newbee made short work of

 Invictus Gaming and
iG.Vitality in their opening matches before advancing to face each other in the best-of-three Grand Final.

In true Wings Gaming fashion, the young squad picked 15 different heroes over the course of three games. By contrast, Newbee relied heavily on Lifestealer as a carry, picking it all three times.

Wings' next big challenge will be a series of LAN events in North America, starting with Northern Arena's BEAT Invitational Nov. 11-13, followed by The Summit 6 Nov. 16-20. As champions of The International 6, it is very likely that they will also be invited to The Boston Major shortly afterward on Dec. 7-10.
