Alisports has announced several teams that have received a direct invite to WESG 2019 Closed Qualifier. This news comes briefly after the tournament dates and format reveal.

These teams will join the open qualifier winners in the second qualifier stage of the tournament. HellRaisers, Nemiga, and two academy squads will be competing in the CIS Qualifier. AVANGAR and Syman failed to meet the requirements for the CIS, so they will compete in the Central Asia Qualifier, which leads to the APAC LAN before the Global Finals.

There is also the Portugal Qualifier event. Several Close Qualifier positions are still left to fill, like Africa, and the Asian sub-regions.

WESG 2019 will hold at Chongqing, with 24 teams competing for the lion’s share of $1 million. It will take place sometime during March 2020.
