WePlay! Valentine Madness: The Pango vs Old But Gold

Well, we finally got to the first CIS-confrontation (no matter how comically this phrase sounds)! The Pango fought with the newly minted participants on Minor - Old But Gold for reaching the quarter-final of the WePlay! Dota 2 Valentine Madness Upper Bracket.

The first game

Razor appeared in the Valentine Madness draft again. G from Old But Gold got him this time. Terrorblade became the second Core, and the support link consisted of Shadow Shaman and Clockwerk. The Pango supplied the stand-in Cooman with Anti-Mage, sending Naive- on Dazzle to the midlane. Pangolier, Shadow Demon and Jakiro completed The Pango’s draft.

The teams were engaged in a set of gold and items during the early game. Rare outputs to the mid or battles in the forest didn’t help rivals to identify a favourite. The second game

The Pango chose Queen of Pain, Juggernaut and Chaos Knight to implement the revenge. Old But Gold responded with their usual Terrorblade, Outworld Devourer and Sven as a meta support.

Old But Gold took the lead in the kills, but The Pango confidently kept the top of the net worth. Juggernaut’s free farm more than compensated for the unsuccessful clashes.
