WePlay.TV continues to develop the semi-professional DotA scene and, with the support of inno3D and NVIDIA, launches a three-month series of tournaments with a prize pool of $3600!

WePlay.TV continues to develop the semi-professional DotA scene and, with the support of inno3D and NVIDIA, launches a three-month series of tournaments with a prize pool of $3600!

This series will be held within 3 months and will end with a finals with a prize pool of 445 000 WP* + $4800 ($1200 as Dota2 cosmetic items) + a spot in the qualification of WePlay League Season 4.

WePlay Dota 2 Summer Final prize pool 

  • 1v1 Solo Mid: $400
  • 3v3 Random Draft: $1200
  • 5v5 Captains Mode: $2000 + a spot in the qualification of WePlay League Season 4

In addition, weekly and monthly top 4 will receive additional prizes (details available below).

How to participate?

To participate in WePlay Dota 2 Spring, you need to select a suitable event format on WePlay.tv website and register a team. For details on registration, check "Rules" tab in chosen tournament.

If you decide to take part in one of the championships, you may check detailed schedule of all WePlay Dota 2 Spring tournaments in all formats. The document also details prizes for all tournaments.

Rules

1. Game format

WePlay Dota 2 Spring season is available in 3 different formats:

  • 1v1 Solo Mid 
  • 3v3 Random Draft
  • 5v5 Captains Mode 

One player is allowed to participate in all formats of the tournament at the same time.

There is a change of pick-ban system at WePlay Summer: the right to pick hero or side in 1v1 (Dire/Radiant) is decided with a coinflip (lobby "/flip" command). The right of first pick or choise of side (Dire/Radiant) is decided similarly in 3v3 and 5v5.

2. Qualifications format 

WePlay Dota 2 Spring season in each format is divided into a series of qualifying tournaments:

  • 2.1 Weekly battles.

Participants: any registered teams.

Six weekly tournaments are held within each of the three formats in a Single Elimination format. 

Total prize pool: 243 000 WP, $1200 (with Dota 2 items).

  • 2.2 Monthly battles.

Participants: any registered teams.

Six monthly tournaments are held within each of the three formats in a Single Elimination format. 

Total prize pool: 202 500 WP plus 36 spots for the Season finale.

  • 2.3 Season finale.

Final tournament is held within each of the three formats in Round Robin format, playoffs - Double Elimination.

Total prize pool: $ 3600 + a spot in the qualification of WePlay League Season 4
