WePlay Studios held its first pilot event at a brand-new venue in Inglewood, California, built for content production and event hosting. During the evening, the host team raised money to aid families displaced by the devastating Palisades and Eaton wildfires.
January 18, 2025, marked a new milestone in WePlay’s history when the team launched a pilot event at the new WePlay arena in Inglewood, CA. With the support of the City of Inglewood, especially Mayor James Butts Jr., WePlay Studios opened its doors to visitors two weeks after the last event in Playa Vista.
The evening celebrated 1500 or Nothin’s 20th anniversary, featuring 45 local artists and beloved music legends like Xzibit, Mario, and Simba. Since 2024, WePlay and the music syndicate have been in a strategic partnership to create new opportunities and formats for music talents and artists.
Nearly 2000 people attended the event. All event ticket sales proceeds were donated to Inglewood Rising, a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to providing short-term housing and resources to those displaced by the wildfires.
