WePlay.TV continues to develop a semi-professional DotA scene and, with the support of inno3D and NVIDIA, announces the launch of a three-month series of tournaments with a finals prize fund of $3600 (~260 000 RUR)!

One of the main WePlay.TV objectives is the development of e-sports. And in this we have a full support from our partners, inno3D and NVIDIA, who are leaders in developing and manufacturing a variety of multimedia computer hardware solutions. Together, we are announcing a series of semi-pro DotA 2 tournaments  under the WePlay Dota 2 Spring title. This series will be held within 3 months and will end with a finals with significant for semi-pro championships prizes.

WePlay Dota 2 Spring Final prize pool 

1v1 Solo Mid: $400

3v3 Random Draft: $1200

5v5 Captains Mode: $2000

In addition, weekly and monthly top 4 will receive additional prizes (details available below).

How to participate?

To participate in WePlay Dota 2 Spring, you need to select a suitable event format on WePlay.tv website and register a team. For details on registration, check "Rules" tab in chosen tournament.

If you decide to take part in one of the championships, you may check detailed schedule of all WePlay Dota 2 Spring tournaments in all formats. The document also details prizes for all tournaments.

Rules

1. Game format

WePlay Dota 2 Spring season is available in 3 different formats:

1v1 Solo Mid (short rules)

3v3 Random Draft (short rules)

5v5 Captains Mode (short rules)

One player is allowed to participate in all formats of the tournament at the same time.

2. Qualifications format 

WePlay Dota 2 Spring season in each format is divided into a series of qualifying tournaments:

2.1 Weekly selection.

Participants: any registered teams.

Two weekly tournaments are held within each of the three formats in Single Elimination format, where each member of the top 4 gets small prizes (items, WePlay Points), and two qualifications finalists are admitted to the monthly finals.

2.2 Monthly finals.

Participants: previous weekly tournaments top2, 12 teams total.

3 monthly tournament are held within each of the three formats (1v1, 3v3, 5v5) in Double Elimination format, where each member of the top 4 gets more significant prizes (arcanes and immortals plus lots of WePlay Points), as well as admission to the season finale .

2.3 Season finale.

Participants: previous monthly tournaments top4, 12 teams total.

Final tournament is held within each of the three formats in Round Robin format, playoffs - Double Elimination. Total prize money: $ 3600 USD.
