WePlay! Pushka League Season 2 Announcement! ⚡⚡⚡ Esports news, analytics, reviews on WePlay! The latest news on WePlay!

What could be cooler than the release of a new Battle Pass with a nostalgic Wraith King Arcana and a plush Pudge? Only the announcement of WePlay! Pushka League Season 2!

The new regional Dota 2 league gathered more than 750 thousand viewers on broadcasts (exactly 775,225 people), generated more than 11 million hours of viewing and, considering severe lack of entertainment, showed battles between the best teams of CIS and EU regions: Team Liquid, OG, Team Secret, Virtus.pro, B8 Esports, and many more great teams!

You can see some statporn over here if you like. But only after you remember how cool the first season of WePlay! Pushka League was!

We even proved that Kyle is not always wrong.

WePlay!'s Scientific Research: Is Kyle Wrong?

But back let’s get back to business. The next stage of WePlay!’s regional league will see a brand new format. Still, it is a bit complex: a couple of divisions, links between them, no tiebreakers and the places will decide the team’s progression… It may sound scary, but our Esports Department made a hell of a scheme to make sure that the teams will be motivated in every match so you will enjoy every map of the tournament. There will be a separate article dedicated to all the nuances. In the meantime, let's go through the main points of WePlay! Pushka League Season 2.

This time, WePlay! Pushka League’s geography expands: there will be three regions!

  • Europe (EU + CIS)

  • Asia (China + SEA)

  • America (NA + SA)

The second season of WePlay! Pushka League has three divisions in Europe and two divisions for Asia and America.

Important! Two or more teams from one organization cannot take part in a single division.

WePlay! Pushka League Group Stage will start on August, 13th and will last until the final Grand Final series, scheduled for September, 8th. NB! Asia region dates will be announced later.

Let’s mark all the tournament’s stages in the calendar:

  1. Group Stage — August 13-23

  2. Tiebreakers / Possible replays — August 25

  3. Play-in-Stage — August 26

  4. Div 2 Playoffs — August 27 - September 6

  5. EU Div 3 Playoffs — August 27 - September 13

  6. Div 1 Superfinals — September 8-13

All the information (dates, system, etc.) regarding Open Qualifiers will be announced later. You can reach only the last divisions through Open Quals.

WePlay! Pushka League debut season was attended by 22 teams. This time, 72 teams from Europe, CIS, China, Southeast Asia, North and South America will fight for a solid prize pool and the title of Region’s Best!

The distribution by region is as follows:

Region Division 1 Division 2 Division 3 Total
Europe 16 teams 8 teams 8 teams 32 teams
Asia 12 teams 8 teams   20 teams
America 12 teams 8 teams   20 teams

Prize Pool

Elite League made for the best with its own unique style? Sure. Prize Pool? Huge.

Region Division 1 Division 2 Division 3
Europe $210,000 $50,000 $5,000
Asia $60,000 $15,000
America $40,000 $10,000

The total prize pool for WePlay! Pushka League Season 2 is over $400,000!

Now, let’s sum everything up.

WePlay! Pushka League Season 2 has naturally changed, developed, matured, evolved. Now, there’s an expanded format, a flexible system of divisions, an impressive prize pool and, the most valuable part, a month-length tournament intrigue — a real evolution of the professional Dota 2 scene! And we will become part of this action this fall!
