We are pleased to announce the beginning of the 3rd season of WePlay League on Dota 2 discipline! Starting from August 15, the best Doters begin their competing in the qualifying fights. The grand LAN-final will become a culmination of the whole competition and will be held on December 11-14 in Kiev International Exhibition Center, where 8 best teams of the league will meet for the ultimate battles.

So, here are some details about the regulations of the new WePlay League season. Let's start with the dessert: the prize pool of WePlay League Season 3 will amount to $ 200 000 + 25% of Compendium sales. As for the format of competition, the best 32 teams of Europe, America, China, Asia and the CIS will compete in 4 divisions during 3 months. Each division will consist of 8 teams. The competition system of the 3rd season will allow the teams to earn money by their victories, beginning already with the main online stage of the league, which consists of 6 weeks' time of matches in which the two Classes, A and S will swap places between each other as the games unfold. The top team of each division will earn a spot directly into the LAN finals, as well as a $5000 prize to have their travel expenses covered. The remaining 4 teams that advance to the grand finals after having their Last Chance matches will receive travel support to reach the LAN event in Kiev. Places 5 and 6 out of every division will have a spot secured in the 4th season, while 7th and 8th place both drop out of the competition completely.

Today we announce the start of a series of open qualifiers for the Atlantic Division, EuroCIS Division, China Divison and Asia Divison. Any team on Dota2 can take part in these tournaments. Hurry up, registration for the first of two qualifications is already open for each division. Two teams from each qualification will get into the main stage of competitions.

 

 

Chinese qualification # 1. Dates: from 15th to 17th of August, the beginning of the gaming day is 13:00 CEST.
Asian qualification # 1. Dates: from 15th to 17th of August, the beginning of the gaming day is 13:30 CEST.
Atlantic qualification # 1. Dates: from 19th to 21th of August, the beginning of the gaming day is 19:00 CEST.
European/CIS qualification # 1. Dates: from 22th to 24th of August, the beginning of the gaming day is 17:00 CEST.
Chinese qualification # 2. Dates: from 19th to 21th of August, the beginning of the gaming day is 13:00 CEST.
Asian qualification # 2. Dates: from 22th to 24th of August, the beginning of the gaming day is 13:30 CEST.
Atlantic qualification # 2. Dates: from 26th to 28th of August, the beginning of the gaming day is 19:00 CEST.
European/CIS qualification # 2. Dates: from 26th to 28th of August, the beginning of the gaming day is 17:00 CEST.

The best specialist in Dota 2 will be commenting the tournaments. VeRsuta, LightOfHeaven, Hireling and Bafik will provide the commentation for Russian speaking audience.
