Fortunately, esports and other spheres of gaming are outside the politics and aren't plagued by the various issues and tactics, used by people hungry for power. That doesn't mean that we aren't following the events outside our game rooms — we don't want to repeat the past mistakes and condemn the current and future generations to the horrors of the Second World War.

We sincerely hope that for the overwhelming majority of gamers, the war remains to be something abstract and learned from the games. When you start playing BattleField or any other war game next time, think about the freedom you have - you can do whatever you want and you can stop it whenever you want.

If you know one of the handful living survivors of that war, or a veteran of any other armed conflict, congratulate them on their courage and thank them for their sacrifice.
