WePlay Academy League is back with its sixth season! Last time around, we saw the undefeated kings of MOUZ NXT toppled early on in the Group Stage as a new-look Fnatic Rising took the throne following a convincing victory over Team Spirit Academy in the Grand Final. As for Season 6, the Group Stage will take place between October 10-30th, while the online Playoffs will be held between November 16-20th. Much like last season, Season 6 will feature a $100,000 prize pool, while the Group Stage will consist of two double Round Robin groups, with the top team of each group advancing to the Playoffs while 2nd and 3rd place teams will fight it out in the Gauntlet Stage.
One thing of note regarding S6 is that we’re opening up an application process for people wanting to co-stream WAL in languages other than English, Ukrainian, and russian. You can fill out the form here.
The teams participating in WAL S6 are as follows:
- NAVI Junior
- Young Ninjas
- MOUZ NXT
- BIG Academy
- Astralis Talent
- Fnatic Rising
- FURIA Academy
- Team Spirit Academy
- ENCE Academy
- OG Academy
- 00 Prospects
- Apeks Rebels
- MIBR Academy
- Flames Ascent
Will MOUZ NXT be able to redeem themselves with their new roster? Will Fnatic Rising start creating their own legacy and win another season? Or will a new team step up to the plate and lift the trophy this season? Be sure to tune in to our Twitch channel to find out!
