Warriors Esports have announced the signing of Fortnite duo Sam “Twizz” Pearson and Chris “CoverH” Hunt. The New Zealanders will represent the organisation at Fortnite World Cup Finals, which they qualified for in week two.
“To have two New Zealanders representing Warriors Esports in the World Cup finals is absolutely huge for us.”
Co-founder Cameron Russell
Warriors Esports was born through a partnership between National Rugby League franchise, the Vodafone Warriors and Overwatch team, Blank Esports. Upon its formation, the organisation expressed an interest to expand into other esports.
The duo represent Warrior Esports entry into Fortnite and could be just the first of many more expansions. Twizz played for Mindfreak up until early June, but the duo has been playing together for over 18 months.
