Warhammer: Chaosbane is the newest addition to the Warhammer family. In fact, it might also be the most successful one yet due to the huge interest in the title.
The story itself begins within the city of Nuln where everything is peaceful and prosperous. However, this utopia does not last long as a magician called Harbinger defeats the personal guards of Magnus’ and locks him in a static field.
This is where you come into play. Your goal is to help free Magnus and use him to defeat Harbinger.
There are various different builds out there for Elontir. However, this one will focus mainly on doing what everyone wants to do - one-shotting your enemies. Keep it in mind that if this doesn’t work for you, you can always try a more orthodox build.
The first thing you need to do in order to succeed here is to get level 50. After you do that, you have to farm the following gear which will be mentioned below. However, remember that you have to get the gear either in Relic Hunt or Boss Rush on chaos or above in order to have the best results possible.
The first item you need is called The Impetuous One/Morvael. It is very good because Burning enemies take more damage. What’s more, the Blinding Light skill costs no skill points and is improved by dealing more fire damage.
In number two we have the Phoenix Herald-Heroic Staff. This item is definitely a must due to its amazing ring of fire effect. As soon as you get it, you will be able to apply permanent damage over time effect on the enemies around you.
This is where the magic happens. If you got the other items before this you will be inflicting a lot of burning damage. However, Soul Fire actually increases your damage for each burning enemy. This means only one thing - insane DPS.
This item allows you to be super effective in a very short period of time. What it does is it increases your damage by 30% for 5 seconds. Ideally, it works wonders in most boss fights.
This ring gives you the chance to reduce your cooldowns with each critical strike. The chance of reducing the CDs is 50%, which makes it definitely worth getting.
Each time you do a critical strike gives you a chance to get +30% damage bonus for 3 seconds. A pretty straightforward effect which is very strong in nearly all scenarios.
In order to make this build work, you will need to combine specific active with passive skills.
Here is the list of the active spells which you need to have:
Aqshy Missile - Superior
Breath of Fire - Mastered
Phoenix Bulwark - Mastered
Step Between Worlds - Mastered
Aetheric Vortex - Mastered
Blinding Light - Heroic
Aqshy Mastery - Mastered
Concentration - Superior
Master of the Wind - Mastered
Critical Damage - the critical damage is one of the most important stats to get if you want to use this build. There are also various gem combinations but the linked blue and red have the best effect.
