VR game Apex Construct gets mistaken for Apex Legends ⚡⚡⚡ Esports and gaming news, analytics, reviews on WePlay! The latest news on WePlay!

Apex Legends is so insanely popular right now that a slight confusion in its name might lead to an unforeseen outcome. This is the case for a VR game called Apex Construct, which released last March. As you might’ve already guessed there’re a lot of gamers who got confused and mistakenly bought the aforementioned VR game while trying to try out the Respawn’s latest.

Just to clarify, Apex Construct is a full-priced game, which you can buy for $29,99. Apex Legends, on the other hand, is free-to-play, although it didn’t stop players from buying the VR game. Not to mention that the games are being distributed through completely different digital services. In terms of accurate statistics, the game’s page in Steam received 4000% more views during the past two weeks. The funniest bit, though, is that the game has sold more copies in China during that period than it did through the whole previous year. Sadly, Chinese gamers were looking for a new Battle Royale title in the wrong place.

The information was shared by the developers themselves on Reddit. They say that Chinese gamers reviewed Apex Construct badly after receiving a completely different game than they were hoping for. This resulted in a series of negative reviews due to those gamers believing that they were scammed. Fortunately, the Steam Community team is looking into the issue to revise the reviews in question.

Btw, in case you were looking for a cool name for your newly opened café, you should call it Apex Café. Trust us, it’s going to work.
