Virtus.pro signs FlavorOfTheMonth to its Apex Legends roster

Virtus.pro announced today that it has picked up the Apex Legends team FlavorOfTheMonth to compete in the Apex Legends Preseason Invitational. 

The roster consists of Martin "Pjeh" Heggøy Aamyri, Alexander "Noth" Selfwin and Taylor "Taylor" Johan, who all left Riddle Esports on April 25 to start their own team. Mikhail "Fantazer" Artemyev has also been announced as the team's manager. 

Virtus.pro general manager, Roman Dvoryankin had this to say: “We have rich traditions in this discipline, over the past few weeks we have had intensive consultations with EA. The company has big plans for the esports component of the game, I hope we can help to implement these plans . The next couple of months will be a test period for us, closer to the end of the year we will decide on the final format of presence in Apex Legends. ”

According to Dvoryankin's statement, the roster could still change before the year's end, but with all three players moving from one team to another together, Virtus.pro might have to decide to take all of them or none of them. 

Apex Legends Preseason Invitational will be held from September 13-15 at Alvernia Studios, Kraków. 80 teams will face-off for a piece of the $500,000 prize pool.
