According to the press release from the management of team Virtus.Pro, the legendary CS:GO Polish squad will not play under the organization's banner until further notice.
The news came after another disappointing result when a team lost against rival team x-kom at Europe Minor which is a qualifier for IEM Katowice 2019 Major (one of the most prestige event in Poland), and was not able to qualify for the next ESL Pro League season as well.
It seems that the organization is looking to rebuild the whole roster completely while the management will focus now on young players. VP General Manager, Roman Dvoryankin added some world to explain the whole situation:
After London Major, we were quite optimistic about the potential of the current lineup. Unfortunately, our expectations were not met. The long-term strategy for us is to build a competitive team around young players and we will follow it while making decisions. I’d like to ask our fans to be supportive in the next couple of weeks.
We will have to wait till the end of this year to confirm all of this, but for now, It seems that the “Golden Five” era is now history.
