Virtus.pro have taken down OG in the European qualifier Grand Final, securing their spot at ESL One Genting.

Virtus.pro had a strong start to the best-of-five series, countering OG's aggressive push strategy with a push strategy of their own in Game 1. OG had to call Game 2 after just 22 minutes when Ramzes' Lifestealer snowballed totally out of control and they lost half their base. Lil's 20 minute Dagon 3 on jungle Bloodseeker only added insult to injury.

OG kicked back in Games 3 and 4, pushing the series to a deciding Game 5. They started things off with an unconventional support Tiny for JerAx in Game 4 and moved to a more conventional Drow Ranger lineup in Game 4, making use of ana's Templar Assassin and Warlock for Fly to melt buildings and win fights.

Something clicked for Virtus.pro in Game 5, and they steamrolled OG on their way to a series victory. No[o]ne's Outworld Devourer was on fire, going 20/0/10, keeping himself alive with some very well timed Astral Imprisonments and making OG's life miserable. Once Virtus.pro began to break the base, it was all over for OG.

This is Virtus.pro's third qualifier victory in a little over a month, having already qualified for The Summit 6 and The Boston Major. The team is also currently competing in DreamLeague Season 6. They are currently in second place behind Escape Gaming with a scoreline of 8-4. They have one more match to play against Ad Finem on Nov. 7.
