Vici Gaming became the champion of the third Major 2018/19 DreamLeague Season 11, beating Virtus.pro with a score of 3:2 in the Grand Final.

Even though it was the Chinese team that reached the Grand Final of the tournament from the Upper Bracket, the “bears” were still the favourites in the main match. Those who bet on Vici Gaming in the official Dota Pro Circuit app received 11 times more fragments than they bet.

The game was extremely uneven. The teams allegedly played cat and mouse, mainly deciding the fate of the match at the draft stage. Those, who took the more "greedy" and "patient" pick - lost at the end of the game. The only exception was the second map, where Virtus.pro managed to make a “comeback”.

It is noteworthy that the fifth map was the shortest from all games - it lasted less than 22 minutes, and this is where the rOtk coaching talent manifested itself. Vice-champion of The International 2014 was able to crush Virtus.pro, beating the opponent so much that the “bears” couldn’t win a single line, and now the bears have a long time to reflect on the mistakes.

Fifth map

Vici Gaming earned $350.000 in prize money, while Virtus.pro need to “settle only” for $170.000. Both teams have already won vouchers for The International 2019 even before the Grand Final, so there is no point in talking about the DPC points bonus.

Congratulations to the Vici Gaming team!
