Vici Gaming has announced an updated Dota 2 roster for the end of 2020.
Ren "Old eLeVeN" Yangwei returned to the team as an offlaner. He replaced Zhou "Yang" Haiyang, who did not renew his contract with the organization and became a free agent in early September. Old eLeVeN had previously played for VG: he spent the 2017/2018 season with the organization, and during this time he became the vice-champion of ESL One Katowice 2018, as well as the bronze medalist of the MDL Changsha Major. At The International 2018, they finished 9-12th (Ren's best result at TI is 2017, where he finished fourth along with PSG.LGD).
There's no need to discuss this position in Vici in detail because everything seems quite clear and logical. Meanwhile, speaking about carries, one might be confused. VG's main player will be Nuengnara "23savage" Teeramahanon, who previously played for Fnatic. The thing is that due to the current situation in the world, an eighteen-year-old carry from Thailand cannot yet get a Chinese visa. The club expects that he will be able to join the team in China in late October – early November. His temporary replacement will be Yang "Erica" Shaohan, best known for his performances at Keen Gaming.
Zhang "Eurus" Chengjun (formerly known as Paparazi) has refused to play for Vici Gaming this season and the club is looking for a new team for him. Perhaps it will be a new super squad, along with Lu "Somnus丶M" Yao, who previously became a free agent.
