The lower bracket of WePlay! Valentine Madness yet again hosted a battle of a “Shakespearean tragedy” scale. PAVAGA Gaming, the Belarusian-Ukrainian group of athletes, and Vega Squadron, Europeans disguised as CIS, fought for the right to stay in the tournament.
The Sharks started with picking Chaos Knight, chose two supports in the form of Jakiro and Tusk, and last but not least, got Ursa as their last pick. PAVAGA responded with a pair of cores, Terrorblade and Pangolier, while also betting on control with Elder Titan, Shadow Shaman, and Beastmaster.
Vega were greedy with their last pick, which resulted in losing control from the very beginning. The Sharks couldn’t defend against the early pressure from Beastmaster and Terrorblade. The team was losing towers and got locked away from Roshan, while PAVAGA were doing the best they could to push the lanes. By midgame, Vega Squadron completely lost the bottom lane. Sadly, the team was not able to gather the much-needed artefacts and to compete with fully-packed heroes from PAVAGA. After killing Roshan once again, PAVAGA easily took over the Vega’s base. The game didn’t even last half an hour.
PAVAGA Gaming got the right to continue their march through Valentine Madness, while we are saying goodbye to Vega Squadron. Turns out, they are not as ruthless as sharks should be.
