Vega Squadron, a Russian esports organization, has paused its Counter-Strike: Global Offensive activity. The organisation has decided to take a break for an indefinite term and it is not yet certain if Sharks will return to CS:GO.
The official website states that the team is ready to transfer any player on the team. Vega Squadron's current CS:GO players are:
- Igor «crush» Shevchenko
- Dmytro «jR» Chervak
- Denis «seized» Kostin
- Alexander «scoobyxie» Marynych
- Dmitriy «Dima» Bandurka
- Artem «Fierce» Ivanov (coach)
- Alexander «Lk» Lemeshev (manager)
The reasons for the roster's disbandment still remain in mystery.
"Vega Squadron, formed in 2012, with headquarters in Moscow, Russia aims to become one of the best gaming teams in Europe, maintaining high standards in our gaming teams, with the help of our supporters and sponsors;" as the team's website states.
The last tournament that Vega Squadron have partaken was the selection for the BLAST Pro Series: Moscow 2019, where they lost to Avangar and Team Spirit.
In May, Vega Squadron have also taken part in WePlay! Forge of Masters, conquering bronze.
