IGN has posted twenty-minute gameplay footage of the upcoming role-playing game Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 on their YouTube channel. The video shown is a demonstration of the pre-alpha state of the game, and, frankly, it is not too clear what purpose it serves.
The fact is that the game looks extremely raw, even though the early stage of development. There are many problems and they stand out a lot.
Most likely this is due to pre-alpha version, but the demo had no attention to detail. At the very beginning, the protagonist enters a nightclub and starts dancing according to the script absolutely out of step to the music playing. The variety of enemies is minimal: the hero met two identical people in the same room. First-person fighting is very clumsy. There are no smooth animations, all strike combinations are finished the same way, the enemies fly off in identical poses. The AI is bad too: together with the "stormtrooper syndrome" they simply run up to the main character and frantically try to hit with their hands or weapons. The visual poverty of individuals and the environment is also striking.
