Valve has revealed the new ESL One Rio 2020 selection details after doing away with invites for the Major. The official CS:GO blog shared the points distribution system, which highlights how the tournaments are rated.
Four events are present in the list, including StarLadder Berlin Major 2019. However, last year’s event allocates fewer points than the upcoming tournaments will. The remaining events are Regional Major Ranking tournaments for May, Summer, and Fall. Also, these events will award a higher number of RMR points the closer they are to the Major.

A total of 24 teams across six regions will make it into the Major based on their RMR, consisting of eight Legend, Challenger, and Contender invitations each. The number of spots offered to every region is based on each region’s performance in the previous Major.

ESL One Rio Major will take place at the Jeunesse Arena, Rio de Janeiro, from November 19-22. The tournament features a $2 million prize pool, the largest in CS:GO history.
