Valve Organizes Totalizator at ESL One

Valve Company organizes a gathering of "predictions" at ESL One tournament.

As you probably know, ESL One tournament on Counter-Strike: Global Offensive will be carried out within the framework of “gamescom” exhibition, which will be held in the German city of Cologne from 13th to 17th of August. Valve has decided to organize a kind of totalizator within the frames of the mentioned exhibition, where gamers will be able to make their "predictions" (in other words, to guess the winning teams of each competition day). As a bonus, participants of this campaign called “Pick Em 'challenge” will receive Points into their gaming accounts. Upon collecting of 25, 50 and 70 points gamers will be able to get the Bronze, Silver and Gold Trophy respectively. These trophies in the form of special icons will appear in the player's profile in CS: GO and in Steam.

To participate in this "tournament of visionaries" you have to buy a special "sticker" for $ 1, which is valid only during one day and allows you to make one "prediction". Successful bets during the group stage will bring 3 points into the points treasury for each guessed winner. The right prediction during the quarter-final matches will bring 6 points to the gamers, and 8 points during the semi-finals and grand final. In addition, each "predictor" will be awarded with one point just for his/her participation.

Details of “Pick Em 'challenge” you can read on the official site.
