Valve announced a Dota 2 announcer by Gabe Newell ⚡⚡⚡ Esports and gaming news, analytics, reviews on WePlay! The latest news on WePlay!

While the whole world is watching The International unfold, Valve announced a thing no one really expected: a Dota 2 announcer voiced by Gabe Newell himself. Yep, you heard me right, now Gabe’s going to yell at you within the game. Interestingly enough, the announcer pack is included in the Battle Pass which costs $10. Quarter of earnings from Battle Pass will automatically go into the prize fund of The International.

We can only imagine how the prize fund will increase when players will be able to grab the Gabe Newell as the announced for their Dota 2 matches.

Valve announced it yesterday by releasing the video where Gabe does his best to show some emotions or enthusiasm during recording process. That being said, the voice lines are pretty great as you can hear the phrases like: “Fundamentally, piracy is a service problem” or “As you can see, games are in fact art”.

- The line is “triple kill”. Triple. Three

- I don’t understand.

- Just say three

- You’ve killed more than two people, and less than four?

You can check out the full list of voice lines in the video below:
