A CS:GO map builder Sean "FMPONE" Snelling, has finished working on the updated version of Cache. This has been confirmed by the official ESL Twitter.
Valve has removed the map out of the tournament map pool on 3/29/2019. The developers have replaced it with Vertigo, but the community opinions on this move are still quite mixed as most would like to see the Cache return.
The updated map will premiere at ESL One New York 2019. Before the tournament finals, the organizers will hold a show match and the audience will be able to try out the location on the ESEA servers as well as talk to FMPONE.
ESL One New York 2019 will be held from September 26 to 29 in New York at the Barclays Center sports arena. The prize event's prize fund is $200,000, and among the participants, the following teams have been announced:

- NRG Esports
- G2 Esports
- eUnited
- FaZe Clan
