European esports organisation, Unicorns of Love have finally qualified for the League of Legends World Championship after defeating Vega Squadron in the LCL Summer Playoff Finals.
In addition to their ₽2,000,000 ($31,158) prize, they will join the Worlds Play-in stage as the LCL seed. It also happens to be the organisation's first time qualifying for the prestigious event.
UOL joined the CIS league in May after acquiring Team Justs LCL spot. They finished 2nd in the Summer Split to Gambit Esports, the team with the most LCL titles.
Some of their notable achievements include 1st place at the 2016 Major, IEM Season XI - Oakland and taking 2nd place at EU LCS Spring 2017.
